THE CHALLENGE
Rose Hanson and Charlie Tilbury had taken on the task of renovating Rose’s new holiday home in Cornwall. Both with a passion and expertise in interior design, they collaborated on the project to completely overhaul the property together.
With Rose’s existing personal profile and a rapidly growing social media profile, there were several opportunities to reach out to interior brands for collaborative partnerships. Rose selected brands that she loved and had often used previously to ensure a genuine connection and we were brought in to support the management of these relationships.
The partnership with Charlie was so successful that they launched Penrose Tilbury, a new interior design studio. We supported them in coordinating a shoot of the house once renovated and these images were used to launch the new brand via their Instagram channel and website.
OUR SOLUTION
Working with the Penrose Tilbury team, we identified relevant brands to partner with for the renovation. We started by developing a media pack with the project's key details and Penrose Tilbury’s profile.
We then developed collaboration proposals for each brand, approached them for their thoughts and for each one, developed a bespoke contract. This allowed both parties to be clear on expectations and deliverables. Sandford represented Rose and Charlie in each of these approaches to ensure all parties were happy with the outcome. Sandford then managed follow-ups on Penrose Tilbury’s behalf.
We worked with Rose and Charlie to then identify a photographer and stylist to shoot the property, advising on what publications might require should they wish to share these.
Finally, as they developed their new brand identity, we worked with them to provide strategic recommendations and support as required.
