THE CHALLENGE
Award-winning architecture practice Gluckman Smith were well-established in the industry ahead of their decision to rebrand. Led by three directors, Thomas Smith, Robert Gluckman and Philip Shears, they work with clients to turn inspired thinking into extraordinary architecture, tailored to their budgets and requirements. We supported them through a rebrand and name change, introducing the industry (and their customers) to their new identity: Woldon.
OUR SOLUTION
We needed to develop a comprehensive PR strategy and media grid that recognised the past achievements of Gluckman Smith, while looking to the future and launching the new-look brand to press.
With three directors, all with their own areas of expertise, ensuring they were equally represented was important.
We developed strategic recommendations to launch the brand identity change on social media and execute these plans.
Additionally, we created a content strategy and accompanying calendar for both Instagram and LinkedIn that reflected both the new branding and the key pillars of the practice’s work.
Without active projects to announce to the press, we developed a series of thought-leadership topics and an editorial calendar to demonstrate the breadth of knowledge within the practice to the press.
As well as announcing the new brand to key media, we mapped out recommended PR plans for the year ahead, ready to be taken in-house and managed by their marketing team. Our collaboration and industry contacts led to an editorial piece in House & Garden that ran after the brand was relaunched.
Our close working relationship with the Woldon marketing team meant we were able to hand community management back to them, ensuring their social accounts continued to grow and flourish under the new brand name.
