THE CHALLENGE

Swedish design company Bolon specialises in innovative and sustainable flooring and rugs for public spaces. At the helm, sisters Annica and Marie Eklund (the third generation in the family business) have pioneered its transformation from a traditional weaving mill to an international design brand.

With a strong commitment to sustainability, Bolon designs and manufactures all products in its facility using only renewable energy.

OUR SOLUTION

Although the Bolon brand has a notable presence in the design industry, we were brought in to raise its UK brand profile. With several HQ launches planned throughout the year, we needed to finesse the brand messaging and develop a bespoke media strategy for a UK audience to generate awareness and reach new and established audiences.

In parallel, we developed comprehensive strategies for their wider brand messaging, PR, and digital presence and managed the social media community with robust content plans that reflected their local presence.

We worked with the UK team to support their activity during Clerkenwell Design Week 2022, including securing an interview for the founders, Annica and Marie, with the editor of the industry-leading magazine ICON.

From setting up panel discussions with their Head of Sustainability and former Board Member at Greenpeace Sweden, Håkan Nordin at Design London and the inaugural Material Matters fair to CPDs and talks in the showroom in Clerkenwell, we ensured Bolon was a constant presence throughout the festival.
